In consultation with hospital leadership and in accordance with the current CDC COVID-19 Community Risk Level of “high” in Saratoga County, MMEC will implement the following visitation guidelines effective immediately.
Support persons, as defined by New York State Department of Health, will be allowed at all times.
Per New York State Department of Health, all pediatric patients up to the age of 18 may have 2 designated support persons with them at all times. Patients with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and patients with cognitive impairments (including dementia) may designate one support person to remain with them throughout their hospitalization.
All other visitation will be limited to compassionate exceptions or when necessary for the care of the patient.
All support persons and visitors must wear a surgical mask (or higher level protection like a KN-95 or N-95) at all times. A mask will be provided by our staff if necessary.
Support persons and visitors may not eat or drink in the patient’s room, and they are not permitted to leave that room.
Per our zero tolerance policy, any support person or visitor who refuses to wear a mask or abide by these rules will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
This guidance will be updated regularly based on the current CDC COVID-19 Community Risk Level assessment.
